If anyone was clamoring for a game adaptation of the 1993 Doug E. Doug and John Candy film Cool Runnings, their wish has nearly been granted. SouthPeak Games announced today Sled Shred for the Wii, a downhill-sledding game featuring the equally iconic and ironic Jamaican Bobsled Team.

"Coach Mon" will turn players on to the finer points of bobsledding.

Set for release this fall, Sled Shred will let players zoom down mountains with an array of 10 contraptions, including bobsleds, toboggans, and inner tubes. To make the ride more immersive, players will be able to control their descent with the help of a Wii Balance Board.

Players will have to race with and against the Jamaican bobsledders in the game's single-player mode as they attempt to earn a spot competing at the "World Winter Games." For multiplayer, gamers can compete against one another or work together to take on computer-controlled challengers.
