Aussie game charts: November 24-30

Nintendo returns in full force to claim the top three spots down under.

Nintendo has reclaimed the top spots in the overall Australian games chart down under, with first place going to Wii Play, which comes bundled with a Wii Remote. All sales data has been collected by GfK Australia.

The silver-medal spot for the week of November 24-30 goes to Wii Fit, a game that is no stranger to the charts. Just below that is Mario Kart, making it a clean sweep of first, second, and third place for Nintendo. The only newcomer to the charts during this period was Resistance 2 for the PlayStation 3, which took out the fourth spot. SingStar ABBA, last week's number one, dropped significantly, finding itself in fifth place. The only sports game to make the grade was WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, which took out the sixth position. Dr Kawashima has been handing out more prescriptions, prescribing enough copies of Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? to households around Australia to return to the top 10 and claim the seventh spot. Eighth place goes to Call of Duty: World at War on the PS3, while Gears of War 2 lingers below it at number nine. The final game for last week was the PC version of Call of Duty: World at War, which took out the 10th position.
