Mirror's Edge delivered to factory
Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night could keep EA DICE from finishing its original first-person action-adventure game on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Last month, the senior producer of Electronic Arts' new acrobatic action game Mirror's Edge said that the game was just the first in a planned trilogy. That trilogy is a bit more likely to materialize now that developer EA DICE has announced that the first game is actually done.
EA DICE confirmed today that Mirror's Edge has gone gold on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which should let it meet previously announced release dates of November 11 in North America and November 14 in Europe. (A PC edition is expected this winter.) The publisher of the game is clearly trying to mark the game's launch as a significant event, promoting it with a comic-book tie-in, a prelaunch demo, a free Time Trial mode for preordering customers, and a $130 limited-edition package.
Mirror's Edge puts players in the spry shoes of Faith, a black-market courier in a fascist, futuristic society. When her sister is framed for the assassination of a local politician, Faith must go on the run to clear her name.
