Following the cancelation of several major game franchises in late January, THQ has gone on a game-announcement binge of sorts. After confirming Volition Studios was at work on sci-fi shooter Red Faction: Guerilla for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, THQ announced it would be taking a crack at the "untapped audience" on the Wii by jumping on the rhythm-game bandwagon with Band Mashups and crawling with platformer Deadly Creatures.

Today, THQ announced it would be contributing one more to the Wii and Nintendo DS's library, as well as the PC, with the help of Blue Fang Games. While the publisher has yet to reveal a title for the game, it is currently slated to arrive during THQ's fiscal year 2010, which runs from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

The first details on THQ and Blue Fang's collaboration are expected to arrive later this year. However, the title is likely to cater to the casual crowd, as Blue Fang is best known for its work on the Zoo Tycoon franchise of business management sims. Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, Blue Fang most recently partnered with THQ on the DS version of Zoo Tycoon, which set up shop on Nintendo's portable in 2005.
