Aussie game charts: December 31-January 6

Australians sure love their karaoke!

SingStar R&B has taken out the top spot in the overall Australian game charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

The Simpsons Game on the Nintendo DS has reentered the charts at number two for the week of December 31-January 6. Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz sat at number three, while SingStar Pop Hits tailed it at number four. Last week's chart topper--Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games--fell six places to number seven. Yet another SingStar game--SingStar Rocks!--appeared in the charts, finishing off the week at number 10.

In other charts news, Assassin's Creed continues to sell well on the PlayStation 3, taking out the top spot in the platform-specific chart. However, it only made it to number three on Xbox 360 chart.
