The creative team behind Sony's canine lyricist PaRappa the Rapper is reuniting, but this time they're working on a new system with a new publisher. Majesco Entertainment today announced that it has signed NanaOn-Sha president Masaya Matsuura and artist Rodney Alan Greenblat to develop a new music game for the Wii.

While no details about the still-unnamed game were revealed, Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton said in a statement that the company believes the game "shares the same broad mass market appeal as successful music-based products like Activision's Guitar Hero and MTV's Rock Band." Majesco has set a late 2008 release window for the game.
