Nintendo today announced release dates for some of its key titles--Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy--quashing rumours the titles would not make it to market in time for the Australian holiday season.

First-person shooter Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be available down under from November 8, less than three months after going on sale in North America. Pokémon Battle Revolution lands for the Wii on November 22, with the game allowing trainers to copy their Pokémon Diamond and Pearl characters from their DS handhelds to the Wii home console. The eagerly awaited Super Mario Galaxy game has received a firm shipping date: November 29, just a week after Pokémon Battle Revolution.

December 13 will see Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles arrive for the Wii, and while no precise date has been nailed down, Nintendo is listing Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure as scheduled for a mid-December launch.

Not all of today's announcements were for home console owners, with Nintendo reporting that the DS handheld has passed the 700,000 unit sales mark, and their projections show no slowing in the trend for the rest of 2007.

October 11 sees the launch of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the cell-shaded adventure title for the DS. November is also the month for the release of DK Jungle Climber (on November 1), Naruto Ninja Council (on November 15), and Mario Party DS (on December 6). Master of Illusion has received a broader release window of mid-December.
