Guitar Hero III bundles priced for Australia
Xbox 360 and PS3 Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundles--which include the game and wireless guitar--to retail for A$169.95 ($137) in Australia. Wii version clocks in at A$159.95.
With Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock set to shred on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, the Wii, and the PlayStation 2 in only a couple of months' time, Activision has revealed just how much Aussie gamers will need to have saved up to get their hands on the game and their brand-new Gibson guitar controllers.
The PS3 and 360 bundles of the game--which will ship with a copy of Guitar Hero III and the new wireless controllers--will set people back A$169.95. The Wii bundle will cost A$159.95. The PS2 bundle of Guitar Hero III--which also comes with a wireless controller--will cost A$149.95.
Extra wireless guitars will cost A$79.95 each (for PS3, 360, and the Wii). Activision will also sell the game as a separate item for PS2 and 360 owners. The stand-alone PS2 and 360 Guitar Hero III will cost A$69.95 and A$89.95, respectively.
By comparison, the bundled packs of Guitar Hero II for the PS2 and the 360 originally retailed for A$149.95 and A$159.95, respectively. Both those bundles came packaged with wired guitar controllers.
