Cooking Mama will be coming back to deliver a second helping in Europe, 505 Street Games has announced. Cooking Mama 2, developed by Japanese company Office Create, will be seeing an early 2008 release on both Nintendo DS and Wii platforms.

The new game will feature the same style of gameplay as the first, but with twice as many minigames, new recipes, and a multiplayer cook-off mode.

The first Cooking Mama game was released in December 2006 as a unique cooking simulation game which had players chopping vegetables, dicing steak, and stirring soup using the DS stylus. A Wii version, Cooking Mama: Cook Off, followed in May 2007, swapped the DS stylus controls for the Wii Remote, and gave players the option to compete against a friend.

It is not known when Cooking Mama 2 will reach North America, however, as a publishing deal has not yet been confirmed for that territory.
