10Tacle has announced that it will be acquiring a 29 percent stake in British development studio Climax, and the German developer also announced that the two companies would be moving into a "strategic alliance" to jointly develop games.

The Climax Group has worked on Ghost Rider, Silent Hill: Origins, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and 10Tacle-published titles include GTR2, Elveon, and Jack Keane.

10Tacle also announced that it would work with Climax on its current 'online gaming world' project for MTV, which is due to launch in 2008. The two companies are also working together on two titles "of the action and fantasy genre."

The company stated that the reason behind the move was to increase development capacity, and to "leverage substantial synergy effects."
