The creative mind behind the Jak & Daxter franchise, as well as recent PlayStation 3 title Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, has quit his post as creative director at Sony's Naughty Dog studio to work in the same role for Ready at Dawn.

Dan Arey will be working with Ru Weerasuriya, Ready at Dawn's cofounder and vice president of creative development (and former senior software engineer for Blizzard), on the company's first original IP, details of which it will reveal "at a later date."

Ready at Dawn was founded in 2003, and cofounders of the studio include former Naughty Dog senior programmer Didier Malenfant and former Blizzard senior software engineer Andrea Pessino. The studio worked on the PlayStation Portable game Daxter, and is currently "putting the finishing touches" to the PSP title God of War: Chains of Olympus.
