E3 '07: Mario Galaxy blasts off Nov. 12
Publisher dates plumber's interstellar jaunt during press conference.
SANTA MONICA, Calif.--During the Nintendo Summit in May, the Mario Factory's boisterous exec, Reggie Fils-Aime, revealed that the Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii would most assuredly launch before the end of the year. Along with dating its equally anticipated brawler Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo used its E3 Media and Business Summit press conference today to reveal a November 12 release date.
First officially announced during Nintendo's pre-E3 press conference last year, Mario's universe-capades would see the plumber wading through the murky waters of deep space. Players will use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to interact with Mario's interstellar environments.
Super Mario Galaxy has not yet been rated. For more on the game, take a look at GameSpot's previous coverage, and check back later for the latest developments with Nintendo's ambitious platformer.
