E3 '07: Surf's up for GameSpot's E3 coverage

Ongoing news and previews from Santa Monica game expo begin today; live video kicks off tomorrow night with streaming of Microsoft press conference; Sony, Nintendo to follow.

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--As the details for the E3 Business and Media Summit are finalized across this seaside Los Angeles suburb, GameSpot's on-site coverage of the event has already kicked off. Starting today, editors will begin reporting on all the latest happenings from the soon-to-start expo, with ongoing news coverage, exclusive previews of major games, and on-site video from Barker Hangar and surrounding publisher events.

Starting Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m., GameSpot will begin live streaming each of the "big three" press conferences with Microsoft's media briefing. That will be followed by Nintendo's conference at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, with Sony's much-anticipated event at 11:30 a.m. All three conferences will be shown live in real time on GameSpot, with concurrent live blogging and analysis from the GameSpot editorial and news teams.

Then, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, GameSpot's E3 stage presentation will begin live from the Santa Monica Pier. Hosts Rich Gallup, Ryan Davis, and Jeff Gerstmann will speak with top developers and various game-industry luminaries. There will also be demos of such major titles as Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Mercenaries 2, The Simpsons, Turok, Blacksite: Area 51, Unreal Tournament 3, Stranglehold, Heavenly Sword, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Warhawk, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, SOCOM, Pursuit Force 2, World in Conflict, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, Crysis, Guitar Hero III, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, and Civilization Revolution, as well as special surprise appearances.
