For dedicated PC gamers, there was only one place to be for a company-centric fanfest blowout on the first weekend of August. Now, there are two.

Blizzard Entertainment today announced that its second BlizzCon celebration of the Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo franchises will be held August 3-4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Well-organized PC enthusiasts may already have plans that weekend, as id Software late last year announced that it would be holding its annual QuakeCon event August 2-5 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Open to gamers age 4 and older, BlizzCon will feature panel discussions and signings with developers, tournaments, contests, and a silent auction. Organizers are also promising live orchestral performances and some as-yet unannounced activities. The price of admission to BlizzCon will be $100.
