The Medal of Honor series makes its Wii debut next March with Medal of Honor: Vanguard, a new WWII shooter from Electronic Arts. The game, which is also coming to the PlayStation 2, is currently being developed by EA Los Angeles.

Players will suit up as Frank Keegan, corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division, and lead soldiers into battle against the Nazi war machine. Vanguard's firefights will take place in a variety of European backdrops, from behind the lines of Nazi-controlled Germany to the rocky shores of Sicily.

EA has not detailed exactly how the game will make use of the Wii's motion-sensitive controller, saying only that "players can expect Medal of Honor: Vanguard to take full advantage" of the Wii Remote.

This isn't the only Medal of Honor game due out next year. EA is also working on Medal of Honor: Airborne for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Medal of Honor: Vanguard has not yet been priced or rated. For more info, check out the game's Web page.
