It seems bullies can't match it against cute puppies and kittens, at least in Australia anyway. Rockstar Game's latest controversy magnet, Canis Canem Edit (known as Bully in the US), only managed to make it to number three in its first week of release down under, with EA's latest Sims add-on, The Sims 2: Pets, bounding its way to number one on the latest game-sales charts.

The Sims 2: Pets topped the overall top 10 list in Australia for the week of October 23 to October 29, according to data trackers GfK Australia. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for the DS was Nintendo's highest entry into the overall top 10 this week, nabbing second place.

PC games featured strongly in this week's top 10, with Battlefield 2142 and Flight Simulator X coming in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. The Xbox 360 had a sole entrant in the top 10--Splinter Cell Double Agent.
