SYDNEY--It's an image etched into the minds of soccer fans throughout Australia: super striker John Aloisi with arms spread wide after scoring the winning penalty shot against Uruguay. The goal sent Australia into the 2006 World Cup finals.

Konami Digital Entertainment Europe said this week that it will use that iconic image for the cover of the Australian edition of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (known as Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the US). The game will be released in Australia in early November for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, and PC. A Nintendo DS version will be released in December for Aussie gamers.

As well as being the match winner against Uruguay in 2005, Aloisi is remembered for his impressive third goal in the come-from-behind 3-1 victory against Japan in Australia's opening game at the 2006 World Cup finals.

The entire Australian Socceroos lineup has been included in Pro Evolution Soccer 6's roster of international teams.
