PS3 manufacturer irked by leak
Asustek threatens legal action over any incorrect media reports that damage its client relationships.
Yesterday reports emerged that Asustek's Taiwanese operation had begun producing PlayStation 3 units, with Sony expected to take delivery of the first shipment of systems later this month. That apparently didn't go over so well with Asustek, as DigiTimes is reporting that the company yesterday sent out a warning to Taiwanese media. According to the report, Asustek is threatening legal action against any outlet for any erroneous reports that harm its relationships with clients. However, it did not comment on the accuracy of the original report about the PlayStation 3 entering production.
