For most states, one tangle with the Entertainment Software Association over a game-restriction law tends to be enough. And while a Louisiana law restricting the sale of some violent games to minors has been challenged by the ESA, State Senator Mike Michot said in an interview with Lafayette television station KATC-3 that lawmakers aren't going to give up on the issue anytime soon.

"Now if this is overturned, I think you'll see the legislature address it again in the next session," Michot told the station, adding, "We can't legislate morality, but certainly we can stop these games from being sold in Louisiana, getting into the hands of our children. It's the least we could do."

Last Friday, a district court judge extended a temporary restraining order barring the law from being enforced until a ruling is made on the ESA's request for a preliminary injunction against the law.
