Academy elects new board

Jay Cohen, Kelly Flock, Ted Price join board of directors of the industry group behind D.I.C.E.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the group that produces the annual D.I.C.E. Summit, today announced a newly configured board of directors. Joining the board are Ubisoft vice president of US Publishing Jay Cohen, THQ executive vice president of worldwide publishing Kelly Flock, and Insomniac Games CEO and president Ted Price. Day One Studios president Denny Thorley has been named chairman of the 10,000-strong organization. Electronic Arts exec Rich Hilleman, Bioware founder Ray Muzyka, and Microsoft Game Studios' senior director of business development Frank Pape have been reelected to the board. The new board begins a two-year term on August 1, 2006.
