E3 06: Size Matters for Ratchet and Clank
In keeping with series tradition, the portable debut of Sony's platforming duo gets a cheeky new subtitle.
The Ratchet and Clank series of games is known for its slightly off-kilter sense of humor, an aspect that has surfaced in some of the series' subtitles; the second Ratchet and Clank game on the PlayStation 2 was "Going Commando," while the third one was "Up Your Arsenal." The fourth title in the series, Ratchet: Deadlocked, carried a less suggestive subtitle, and perhaps not coincidentally, didn't sell quite as well as its predecessors.
But just as Sony is promising a return to the franchise's platforming gameplay roots, so too is it once again using thinly veiled innuendo for the subtitle. A representative of the publisher confirmed for GameSpot that the series' PlayStation Portable debut will be called Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. For more on Size Matters, check out GameSpot's pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo impressions of the game, and expect more coverage once the big show kicks off next month.
