The UK's Institute of Contemporary Arts today announced the launch of a fortnightly 10-minute show, which can be downloaded for free from www.yourpsp.com. The public institution's "ICA: The Show" will showcase art and culture across four categories--features, film, music, and design.

The first show, which is available for UK users to download today, includes a profile of the onedotzero festival in Sheffield, which is showcasing the latest in gaming, film, motion graphics, and anime. The programme also looks at the film adaptation of Dave McKean's MirrorMask and profiles new band Battles.

"As a digital broadcaster, PlayStation Portables' agenda is to programme original, bold, and 'wow factor' content that communicates in the idiom of our adult target audience," commented Carl Christopher, sponsorship manager at Sony Computer Entertainment UK. "The 'ICA: The Show' commission aims to showcase the contemporary tastemakers in creative arts, develop and maintain new national audiences. The winner is the audience, who will be presented with 'what to see' 10-minute magazine-size insights of contemporary arts' main players in a very appealing format."

The second show will follow on April 17, with the story of V for Vendetta from comic book to screen, as well as an interview with pop protégés the Test Icicles.
