Monday: We play Oblivion for 12 straight hours
[UPDATE] GameSpot's first-ever Live Gameplay Marathon begins Monday, March 20, featuring The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Early next week, GameSpot subscribers will have a chance to get an extensive firsthand look at Bethesda's next highly anticipated role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion...or rather, a secondhand look. We'll be bringing you a live feed of our first marathon stretch playing the retail Xbox 360 version of the game (prospective players should be wary of potential spoilers).
GameSpot executive editor Greg Kasavin will be driving the game, offering commentary about the experience as it transpires. Subscribers will hear and see Kasavin as he spends an increasing number of successive hours playing the game, and they will be able to chat with each other over the course of the event. However, Kasavin will not have access to the chat room, to avoid any outside influences on his time spent evaluating the game.
In summary:
What: GameSpot Live Gameplay Marathon, featuring The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360)
When: Monday, March 20, 6:00 p.m. PT - Tuesday, March 21, 6:00 a.m. PT (subject to change...but what could possibly go wrong?!)
Why: Because it's better than a case of the Mondays. And because we know you want to see and play Oblivion as much as we do.
Expect written hands-on impressions, HD gameplay videos, and high-resolution images of the game to appear on GameSpot next week. However, to be among the first to experience Oblivion in raw, unfiltered form, and to get impressions directly from one of our editors as he plays, you'll have to tune in to our live feed.
