TOKYO--Nintendo will release a Luigi-themed GameCube controller in Japan. The front of the controller is green, and the back is blue, and the letter "L" from Luigi's cap is imprinted over the start button. The controller also includes a printed picture of the green-clad plumber.

The controller will be released as a prize for Club Nintendo and will be available for 500 club points starting August 24. For fans of Luigi's more famous brother, Nintendo released a Mario controller last month, also worth 500 points. Both controllers are exclusive to Club Nintendo and are not available at retailers.
