Nida Online gets Japanese publisher

RoC Works acquires publishing rights for Korean MMORPG.

Today Japanese publisher RoC Works announced it will partner with Korean game developer NIDA Entertainment as the Japanese licensor for Nida Online, a fantasy/sci-fi MMORPG. Today's announcement confirms widespread rumors of a Japanese release of the game, which originally launched in February 2006. The game uses the free play model that's fairly common in Korean MMORPGs: there is no monthly subscription fee and all revenue comes from sales of in-game items. RoC Soft has launched a teaser site for the game and plans to start beta testing the Japanese version in June.
