Majesco has announced the marketing plans for its upcoming sci-fi action game Advent Rising. The game will be released on the Xbox and PC and is currently in development by Utah-based studio GlyphX.

The publisher has laid down the bucks to get the game some serious exposure--particularly to science-fiction fans. A trailer for the game will be shown before the upcoming film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, which hits theaters May 19.

Majesco last week announced the Race to Save Humanity contest, which challenges Xbox Live gamers to discover hidden logos in the game for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including 1 million dollars. Majesco will release 500,000 specially marked copies of Advent Rising that are eligible for the contest.

Advent Rising, penned by Ender's Game author Orson Scott Card, will be released May 31. In the game, players will control a human endowed with special abilities as he battles a multitude of alien species.

Advent Rising is rated T for Teen and will sell for $49.99. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
