Sun Microsystems partners with Infinium

Infinium Labs and Sun Microsystems announced today that the two companies will work together to create the network infrastructure that will stream content for Infinium's upcoming Phantom Games Service. Sun will provide the architecture design and back-end infrastructure as well as managed hosting services as part of its solution for Infinium, which hopes to launch the Phantom in 2005. Earlier this year, Infinium announced that Java-based games, a technology created by Sun, would run on the Phantom service, which also supports PC games.
