Tecmo today announced that Dead or Alive Ultimate, the first online version of its popular 3D fighting game series, has shipped to retail stores today and will be available across North America later this week.

Featuring a fully updated version of Dead or Alive 2, originally released on the PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast, as well as a port of the Sega Saturn version of the original Dead or Alive, DOA Ultimate's main draw is the online head-to-head matchups it enables via Xbox Live.
