Japanese DS Web site launched

TOKYO--Nintendo has opened a new Web site for its DS handheld gaming machine in Japan. The site hosts two commercial ads that are currently running on prime-time Japanese TV shows, as well as wallpaper for hard-core fans who just can't wait to get their hands on the machine. There's also an as-yet-unopened section called "What's DS!," which will have a video clip about the various functions of the handheld, as well as a segment on the PSP games slated for release.

The Nintendo DS is hitting America on November 21 at a price of $149. The handheld will launch in Japan a few weeks later, on December 2.
