Luigi nearly outshines his brother in his own 2d platformer.
Story: Does it really need to be said Bowser has taken Princess Peach yet again and this time Luigi must save her. Nobody picks up a Mario game especially a 2d Mario platformer to experience it's story. So no problems with me.
Presentation: This is another point to what I was saying before on why someone might feel cheated if they chose to pick the hard copy of the game, because as I mentioned it does not feel like an actual game, it feels like DLC(which it's meant to be) so all the levels in this one look the same as they should look with more challenges in them but its the same presentation as Super Mario Bros U, It looks great but nothing new.
Gameplay: The gameplay is what you would expect in a 2d platform Mario game controls that work well in a challenging environment. So instead of playing as Mario in this one you obviously play as Luigi. Luigi's controls are much different than Mario's he is much lighter and can jump much higher, and to be honest the first time I played I was a bit disappointed with Luigi's control compared to Mario's, but after playing for a while and getting used to them, I have to say I might even think he controls better then Mario! just takes some getting used too though. The difficulty really spikes in this one if you thought Mario bros U was hard your in for an even bigger challenge on this one and the challenge not only is really hard but makes it really fun too cause it adds more mechanics to the platforming. Theirs not a whole lot to say in terms to the gameplay because really all it is, is an add on, but all I can say is while it's nothing new in regards to Mario Bros U, it's still a fun challenge with great controls.
Overall Luigi U is great DLC really worth downloading, and worth the twenty dollars, but If your not a video game collector I would recommend the actual DLC, If your just looking for a challenging Mario game this is definitely worth picking up.
