Brings you the NGC Mario Tennis with Wii controls. Was good, and is even better. Great for tennis lovers. ~No Online.

I enjoyed the Mario Tennis that was for the Gamecube, and played often. I had been a frequent player of the WiiSports tennis, and wanted something more in depth, but none of the other tennis games appealed to me. When walking through a store the other day I say Mario Power Tennis Wii for $27 and without hesitation I grabbed it.

It's everything of the same, plus more.
The gameplay is just as smooth, just as fun, and just as technical as it was back on the NGC. They Wiimotions are very precise and doable. The only difficulty I have is sometimes with making drop shots and slices, some times I don't get what I want, but it's more or less my fault possibly.
They added some new features; not much but just a few things. When the ball is close to the line, in or out, it will show on the replay a close up of where the ball bounced. Pretty neat but not essential.
My only gripe is that they don't allow multi-player in the tournament mode, or online gameplay. But all in all it's solid.

What makes this game great is the Wii controls that it uses so well. I hope you can find it enjoyable as I did. If you don't like tennis I wouldn't buy it. If you like tennis but don't care for the Mario gimmicks, I feel that this can suffice. The gameplay is fun for the whole family.

The reason I give it as low as an 8.0 is because it IS a recycle, with few many new features. The reason I give it as high as 8.0 IS because of the great (for me at least) Wii controls. 8.0 is good!
