My first PSP game, and one of my favorites

Need For Speed Underground Rivals is basically what you get when you take the Underground series from the consoles and puts them on the PSP. What is the end result? Well the end result is that this game is everything that the console versions of this game wish that they could be. This might be the best Need For Speed game that I have ever played. This game completely blows the first Underground right out of the water. The game does take many ques from the original console game, but this version some how feels more whole to me, and was is in my opinion a much more joyous experience. The game controls pretty well, the AI is good, and the most important thing of any racing game: there is a wicked sense of speed, so when you're going over 100 miles per hour, you feel like you are going over 100 miles per hour. The carrer mode is deep and really consists of two game styles of game modes. There are the racing ones, and then there are the ones that seem to be there for the heck of it like drag and drift. While drag mode is a great interation of the console version, the drift attack mode (one of my favorites from the console games) just isnt that much fun and is very difficult. This is a game that is definately worth completing 100 percent. The sound in this game is ok. The cars themselves sound great but the EA Trax is mainly filled with crap. The songs that you will find in this game are bands that are either being blasted on the radio every two minutes or is by a band that is a huge influence in the current underground scene. If you play with the sound off you will not hate yourself for it, lets just leave it at that. Need For Speed Underground Rivals on the PSP, is so far the most fun that I have had on the handheld and just might be the best game in the series. The controls are tight and the carrer mode is deep. The car customization seems almost endless at times.
