Well, well, well... another year of EA Sports Football. It is customary to go to the local Gamestop and pick up my copy the day it comes out and that is exactly what I did. I get back home and watch the beginning of the game and the "it's in the game" video and all was great.... until I played my first game. My biggest problem with this game is the lag. It may be just the PS2 version...??? not sure but still unexceptable. The play calling menu was the main area of problem in regards to this issue. Also the sound was a problem. Normally the college versions of EA sports games are great with sound; realistic, atmospheric, ect. This game however was different. The crowd noise drowned out the commentary.. maybe that was a good thing..? Before I go on too long here I just think I should sum this up Graphics: Way outdated. IT is time for EA to put effort into the graphics, these were the worst yet Gameplay: Worse then 2004, enough said. Sound: Poor Content: Excellent, they did cram everything you want to do w/ college football into one package. Online: Lags, problems, WOW this sucks. Overall: It is time for an overhaul EA, I just sold my copy a day after I got it on Ebay and I have never done that before. That really hurts I hope others out there are honest about this game and don't just give it a blanket review because it's an EA sports game, and its gotta be good. EA does read these posts so put in your true feelings or nothing will be changed for O6. Note to EA Sports: Please try and update the graphics and work on the player control. The players seemed to move too quickly. Great job on content, poor job on Quality Control. This game has major slowdown. I hope you get to read these reviews so maybe next year I will purchase again. thanks, matt
