I've been one of those who's been disappointed with Madden and it's minor tweaks and slight upgrade from each yearly title to the next. And, I've chosen the wait and see approach instead of dropping $60 each year for a Madden title that isn't that much of a difference. I want to say that that should be imposed on to the NCAA titles as well; however, I've continued to buy the title each year since 09. I should've waited on NCAA 10 but I bought it because of the create-a-team concept and because it seemed like it was step better than 09. This year I wasn't sure if I was going to get 11, but I'm glad that I did. This year's version has a better feel about the college teams, presentation (slightly), and it just plays better. I didn't like the fact that they did NO overhaul to the Road to Glory (RTG) part because apparently EA didn't pay EA (Erin Andrews) enough to afford new clothes. Yep, Erin is wearing the same thing from last season to present RTG [have her wear something sexier next time...please!]. Other than a few minor additions, the game play is solid, the replay presentation is great, and presentation for the college intros are cool. I like the touch-up on the crowds, mascots, and cheerleaders (although, it seems like they cut some of their scenes a bit). This year it actually feels a lot better overall and I'm actually glad I bought NCAA 11. I "liked" both NCAA's, but not as good as I did this time around. Solid effort and can be even better next 2 years from now--hopefully!
EA really needs some competition in the football gaming market. I can't imagine any football gaming fan NOT wanting the NCAA to discontinue EA's NCAA football-exclusivity license when it expires either this year or next.... Read Full Review
