fun for a little while

NBA Street Vol 2. is the second of the 3 street games that EA Sports has put out.

In the game, it seems that all the players act exactly the same way. This is because each of the players are given nearly the same series of special moves, with different skill levels, or "handle" in the ability of them to pull these moves off. As a result, the players seem more similar then different.

The problem is that the game focuses on the street moves too much. Over time, you realize that some moves and combo strings are much more effective so all you do is use those moves again and again to raise up your Gamebreaker meter, which allows you to do a special move that adds points to your team and takes them away from the other team.

As you play more and more, these redundancies become more and more prominent so the game loses its replay value very quickly. As the game revolves around pulling off fancy moves, the graphics are important to the game. In today's perspective, the graphics for this game don't look that great anymore.

The game doesn't have XBOX live support so you cannot play online. This would definitely add to the replay value, which is something that is missing from this game.
