Nice game but, you won't play it for a long time...

User Rating: 7.8 | NBA Street Showdown PSP
NBA Street Showdown is a very great game that you should have rent at least one time... The graphics are awesome, not exceptionnal but just okay. We can compare them to the first NBA Street on the xbox/GC/PS2. The players are greatly modelled, just like the environment around them. The only point that I didn't like is that all the other things (ball, posts, etc) wasn't really nice. That took me a lot of times to determinate what are the "things" around the court.

The gameplay is as far the best point in the game. You can do fantastic tricks that may give you a lot of "street points". When you have enough "street points" you can do what is called a "gamebreaker"! A gamebreaker is a great combo that give you some points and that remove a few points to the other team. Anyway, the tricks are impressionnal, you won't do 3-4 times the same trick in a game... There is a lot of them in the game. However, the thing that I liked the most in all that is that we can do OUR character. You can customize it like you want (skills, tricks, clothers, etc...) and, over all, you have your own team to do matches. You can trade them to other team, you choose the players that you want to play the upcoming match, it's really amazing!

For the sound, I won't review the sound of the players/ball etc, we all know that psp sound sucks. So, all I can tell is that the music in the game is really training us in the game with a lot of kinds of music that all will love of course. I even added the songs to my computer, I really liked them!

Now, it's here that the score will drop. You won't spend a lot of time in this game.. OH NO! The street mode is easily done in like 5-6 hours. However, you have the party games that are fun to play with a friend will lengthen your time spent playing for like 1-2 hours (and it's if you have a friend that have it)... Seriously, unlock all the tricks, finish street mode and play for fun a couple of hours will just take you 8-9 hours. That's really not enough for a wonderful game like this game...

Finally, it's a great game overall but the time spent for playing is really not enough...
