This was the only basketball game I played for YEARS. Customizable teams and players and fun gameplay made this great.
You could customize everything in this game. This era seemed like the few years EA sports could actually make solid, fun games. This and HFL 97 were probably the 2 best games ever to come out of EA Sports.
You could make your own rosters, there was stylish menus and a cool starting lineup feature before tipoff. The gameplay was arcade-ish but solid. No miraculous half cour shots and stats made sense with what the players could do.
Basically no post up interfaces, etc that you find now - but still a great game.
I played this game forever - season after season i was still in 1996. I created my friends, fictional people, went it thru with regular players season.
Overall - one a fun scale this was probably the most fun ive ever had playing a basketball to date - if your computer can still run this game i bet itd still be fun.
