Naughty didn't get invited and now he is pissed!
The point is Naughty Bear is a very interesting game and for its ideas and presentation without anyone playing it is gifted with brownie points already. If anyone wasn't interested in just seeing the cover, or the trailers you have no sense of humor (Because you'll need one to play this game and enjoy it).
So, the story of Naughty Bear is that he is a social outcast and try's quite hard to fit in. To please the other bears on Perfection Island. Now as you probably know he doesn't achieve the other bears friendship. The spit on him, laugh at him because of the gifts he creates and just the way he looks.
So Naughty has had enough!
Naughty has been insulted for the last time, he grabs his machete and walks out the door to find the other bears.
Okay, so to gameplay. The gameplay is mostly being a silent predator. Being clever and witty while not being caught by the other bears. This might involve hiding in the grass for a while untill a bear steps onto your bear trap you set up before hand for a our little cute friend, only just to see him scream and cry for help. Other ways will involve using other interesting traps and sabotaging their toilets, sinks, TVs, power box's to their homes and heap more. The whole point of this is to sneak up behind and either do a interesting kill or supa scare. If you scare the bears good enough they will eventually go insane and commit suicide which is one of the naughtiest things you can do in the game.
In order to unlock other levels etc you must gain naughty points by killing, "pushing bears over the edge" or breaking things to strike fear into the bears. All of what I have said above^^ will grant you naughty points. This gives real purpose to the game and really drives you to actually make them scared for their lives instead of running out and attacking them with axes or whatever.
There is surprisingly a lot of things to do in-game. Such as challenges that involve not being seen by the bears, speed challenges, friendly challenges which is where you can't hit a bear but you can drive them insane and closer to suicide and more. There is also a heap of costumes to unlock by doing certain things in levels to unlock then which costumes when wearied after unlocking will grand you different abilities such as walking among the bears, better melee strength, better accuracy with weapons, health increase and more.
The levels in Naught Bear are the same, but changed up for each theme of the chapter your in. The reason behind having the same levels over and over is so that you know the levels inside out so you can generate as much naughty points as you can. So by knowing where bears hang out and what they do you can set traps in perfect positions or single out alone bears.
The online multiplayer was surprisingly good. With four modes to offer its quite enjoyable from modes like Assault: Destroy the other team's Unibear statue and defend your own. Cake Walk: Find and hold the golden cupcake the longest. Golden Oozy: Use the Golden Oozy to punish other bears and Jelly Wars: A team of normal bears struggle against Naught Bear in an epic battle for victory. They have to bring jellies to the Mixing Machine while Naught Bear tries to stop them.
All in all, the game can be quite deep if you think out your plan of attack. There is plenty of hours to be spent here on a very macabre adventure and trust me, its quite entertaining and enjoyable.
But remember: Its better to leave a bear hurt and crying for the other bears to see just so the fear of death soaks into them before you brake their necks ;)
