Definitely worth a look see and make sure you learn the combat system right or be doomed to the wrath of awakenings.
The combat system is also, to me, ingenious where as you can grab it and learn but mastering it is tricky. Sidestepping and chakra dash cancels to get out of or into heavy situations is key. Some enemies, Madara in particular, have massive reach for a melee fighter and if you do not know how to utilize the movements of combat you will suffer great deals of damage from his Susano'o. Deidara as well being primarily a heavy x/square button user, long range fighter, sidestepping is key because a substitution is a rookie mistake that will leave you in another explosive world of pain and suffering.
A feature that really heightened difficulty was taking off Jutsu name display making it more immersive because, you need to pay attention to your opponent carefully to see if they are signing or you may catch a fireball to the face and in a panic waste an oh so precious substitution. Sometimes it would lower difficulty because ironically some of the heavier hitters like Madara and Hashirama (First Hokage) decide it is best to also verbally announce their jutsu almost like a; "Hey watch out this will hurt!"
Overall though it is a solid game and I enjoyed it greatly, the only thing I felt was an upset was a few key characters were missing. I am not talking about anime characters I refer to the Manga canon characters that are key like the Ado-Kage, The 7 Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist (Well the other six Zabuza Momochi is still in there hanging tough.), the rest of the Sound Five, and Shinkaku/Ginkaku. Hopefully a future DLC is in store!!!
