Interesting but incomplete.More improvement over the previous game could have make it one of the topmost Naruto game.
The story(6/10):-Apparently by watching the roster anyone will wonder which story arc it follows.There is Sage Mode Jiraiya and Sage mode Naruto but no Konan or Pain.Also Sasuke is there as the leader of Hebi(No Akatsuki costume) but there are no Hebi members in this game.Sasuke can use mangekyou but not Susanoo like Itachi.So they should have made a Sasuke with Cursed marked State and another Sasuke with Akatsuki costume having the powers of mangekyou as his weapon.So this is too confusing one can't tell about which story arc it is focusing on.The story mode which is termed as GNT Road is not like the story mode we played in Clash of ninja revolution 3.It is only a road full with versus challenges including 2-men challenge and kumite mode.There are two boss fights for each character one is 'A' rank and other is 'S' rank.Before starting the boss fights the characters have a little chat with the bosses like in the anime but not worthy to hear.Finishing S rank boss fight completes the GNT road for the particular character.For this kind of confusing and letdown storyline I can't gave it more than 6 out of 10.
Game play(9.5/10):-This is the important part of any game and this one takes the full advantage of it.Gameplay is just awesome.Each character has his/her unique ability and there is grapple,kunai,weak,strong attacks.And each and every character have a minimum of two finishers.You can play with different strategy with each character such as Lee,Guy,Neji are good in close combat,where Temari,Tenten,Chiyo can attack from a long distance,and Naruto,Sage mode Naruto,Hidan are good in both long-range and close range attacks.
The new implementation in game play is that the specials for which you don't have to hit the enemy,like Kakashi's Mangekyou finisher.Here Sasuke,Itachi can do Mangekyou finish amaterasu the most unique attack in this game.The advantage is even if you don't charge the mamgekyou fully this does a great deal of damage.Sasuke's Kirin and Itachi's Susanoo is also great.Susanoo is the perfect attack which can let you a match when your life is low.But for the sake of god don't use it when you have enough HP it will drain all your life.Fourth Hokage and Sage mode Naruto are the signature characters for whom the fans will buy this game.Minato confuses enemies with his high speed side-steps and Sage Naruto has manual chakra up which helps to chakra up at any period of this game which is really advantageous.And there is Raikage for the first time in any video game.The fighting system also changed there is one pressure bar helps to increase damage when players take too much damage and helps to teleport.
The bad thing is not too many battle modes like CONR3 like Survivor mode is removed,Lower no of stages,no option to increase damage with every hit.And the game is not too improved over CONR3,low amount of new characters.If one tries this after playing CONR3 will find it repetive.
But the unlocking characters is really easy.No weird conditions,just finishing GNT road will unlock characters.And WiFi mode is awesome,better than CONR3.Gameplay should get 9.5 out of 10 in my opinion.
Graphics(9.5/10):- The graphics is really cool, colourful, eye-catching. Though in the character select screen the characters don't look so good but in game characters resembles the anime characters wonderfully. Surrounding and character expressions are filled with details which are enough to play an anime-based fighting game. This portion must get 9.5 out of 10.
Sound(9/10):- Sound of this game is totally clear. Each character has voices from the Japanese anime series actors. And to me it's even much better than the CONR3. The sounds really match the ambience and that's why it made me to give it a 9 out of 10.
Interest Among Players(8/10):- If one did not play CONR3 version this game will be a jewel to them. But as it didn't improve much over CONR3 , the ones played CONR3 will find it almost same. But still it grows interest. Unlocking characters is not much of a problem. So, this will keep busy gamers for a while with roster of 41 characters having versus mode, two-man challenge, kumite etc. Survival should have been fun though. This portion will get a 8 out of 10.
Conclusion:- This is a great game but would have been better with characters like pain and with a better story mode with more stages. It sure has the ingredient to satisfy a gamer. Consisting a good Wi-Fi mode helps to participate with friends. What we want is some good alternate costumes, good storyline and more upgraded form of this one in the upcoming game(might be Clash Of Ninja Revolution 4).More improvement of this game could have make this an asset to gamers.
