These games haven't aged very well. But old school fans will find something to love about this cartridge.

User Rating: 6.3 | Namco Museum GBA
Namco Museum for the Gameboy Advance was Namco once again show casing their classic 80s hits. In this collection we have five old school classics that don't stand the test of time as well as you might hope, but these classic games are still fun to pick up and play when in need of a quick fix. The first game of the five classics is Ms. Pac-Man. Which, respectively, is really no different than what the Pac-Man games are. The only difference is different colored mazes and slightly different designed mazes. The game plays just like Pac-Man. You must collect all of the power pellets and escape the wrath of the cute colorful ghosts. The game gets quite challenging rather quickly. I started having trouble on the third stage. Luckily if you're not a master at these games you can change the difficulty settings and tweak with a few other settings as well to help make the game a little easier for you. Or, make it harder for you if you like a real good challenge.

Next up is the old school racer Pole-Position. I wish I could say more about this game but honestly I never could qualify for the first race. No matter how prefectly I raced on that qualifying track I could not reach the finish line int ime. Even after tweaking the gameplay options. The game seems a little unfair and in today's world this racer is pure mediocrity. Still, its fun to go back and see what the racing genre has evolved from. It's not a bad game, but it's a bit unfair, seemingly. Or maybe I'm just that horrible at this game.

Dig-Dug is the third game on this cartridge. You play as Taizo Hori and you must eliminate all of the evil little creatures that dwell underground. To defeat these creatures you must navigate Taizo underground and shoot your enemies with a hook-shot type weapon. Once you have your enemies hooked you then must press A multiple times to pump them up with enough air until they burst! That's pretty much the just of it.

Finally, the last two games are Galaga and Galaxian. Both are essentially the same game when you look at the back ground, space ship designs, and sound effects. Both are 2D space shooters with a lot in common. Galaga is the faster game. You play as a smaller quicker ship and your enemies fly around the screen shooting little dots at you. In Galaxian you're a fatter ship and your enemies sort of stay still like in Space Invaders at the top of the screen. That's it folks. If you know these games you know what to expect from this cartridge. These are some old old classics that have been bit by the age bug, but are still nice little games to have on the go.
