N+ is a classic old school puzzle game where you gather gold and attempt to open and then pass through the door. It is a simple formula and it is surprisingly addictive, though surely sometimes some map levels just eat away at you. Some go down easily and others are just a nightmare. I remember spending something like an hour on one atrociously annoying level yet I could not stop until I finished and thank heavens I finally did. This is a good game and challenging, yet one into which one can dip for 5 minutes or in the case of the nightmare map an hour... The level editor is a pretty good design but still challenging as we'd expect given the limited interface of the PSP. I have yet to really plunge into the map editor but I suspect that it can be mastered and maps shared broadly. N+'s map editor provides us with the opportunity to build community as so many games do, and shows that even the old school style games have community potential.
