A kids version of the Sims, MySims introduces the ability to build your own community, which is why it's bad.

MySims is a reboot of the Sims series exclusively for the Wii and DS, so obviously it's directed at kids. The problem here is that it's extremely boring. Let's see why...

So, the story here is, well, shallow. Of course future games submit better ideas, but this is just an uninspired proposal. Basically, the mayor of a town you name is telling of a guy who builds stuff with magic and the townspeople are extremely lazy to realize how some nails and a hammer work. So he leaves one day (I would too) and they all leave because they are lazy and can't renovate their homes or plant trees. So now you step in, you make your guy, and you meet the mayor. First thing? Well my "lazy" hypothesis was correct, they didn't even build you a house. So now you build your house with the ABSOLUTELY BROKEN building system and now I have one of the ugliest houses I've seen. Then you get a book with tasks in it, like plant trees or build buildings like houses or restaurants, and you choose who lives there. Now the game begins...

So, what's ironic is that there's barely any socializing in this game at all. Ironic how? Well the main points of the Sims is basically to socialize and control a Sim's life. Well in MySims, if you slack off for too long, the community falls apart and you have to do everyone's chores. It's annoying, I know. So after I'm done with building, what can I do? Well socializing is out, why not plant trees? Look, the idea is cute, but to do so you have to take the resources (like cherries or apples) and plant those in the ground. There are trees right there! I have to build two more out of the twenty that are here? I don't think so. That's basically it, besides a few cute actions like splashing in a pool or cooking pizza, that's MySims, what a waste.

Sound is pretty good and they got the secret Sim language down and the music is nice and that's a small savior from absolute insanity. Graphics are also decent, very colorful and vivid, thats pretty cool. Graphics could be better, but at least they're okay.

So today I'll start doing this, a buy, rent, or skip portion then the goods and bads. So MySims, should you Buy, Rent, or Skip? A definite skip, the game is absolutely boring and dull. It wouldn't appeal to even the age group the game was aimed at!

Goods-Good Music and sound, Okay Graphics, Very Colorful Visuals

Bads-Dull story, boring and repetitive gameplay, barely any socialization, building system is broken, Not a Sims Game
