It may seem boring at first, but eventually it gets fun.

User Rating: 6.5 | MySims WII
The Sims is a sandbox life simulating game where you can pretty much can do anything, except define gravity. But then, EA wanted to make their Sims series target to a younger audience. Then came the creation MySims, a Sims spin-off, with a few minor changes.

Before I get to the plot, let's talk about the changes. First, the look. It has drastically changed from The Sims. Instead of full-sized human characters, you get these chibi-anime characters that are akin the Nintendo's Mii's. Plus, they speak gibberish. Luckily, the game translates their language to English through text. Second, the atmosphere. The Sims was all about successful jobs, getting married, getting your character to survive, and that's about it. Here though, it goes into a way different perspective which I'll get into a little later. Third, stats. In The Sims, you have to worry about your characters hunger, health and lifestyle. in this game, you don't have to worry about ANYTHING! Your character has no worry of hunger, health care, or even his lifestyle. Instead, we get these unrelated stats. Fun, Studious, Cute, Geeky, Spooky and Tasty. It depends on what items you use to make these stats grow. Also, the characters in this game have those stats matching there personality. Anyway, after that long monologue, let's get to the game.

The plot is about [your town name], a once successful town because of a man who built the towns people things with Essences (the items from the last paragraph). But one day, the man left and so did many other people. That's where you come in. You get on a train to the town and start doing countless amounts of chores and tasks from the towns people. Like for example, Chef Gino will ask you to build him a pizza oven. Or DJ Candy will tell you to build her turntables. And the more you help these people, the more your town will rise in popularity, and the more Sims that will move in.

The gameplay is similar to Nintendo's Animal Crossing, but this game is more of a furniture building game then a free-roaming game. People will ask you to build furniture, and give a certain amount of Essences they want with the furniture. Like for example, Poppy will ask you to build her a flower stand and wants 6 happy Essences on her flower stand. These Essences aren't presented through items, but also as paint. You can paint the furniture to add to the number of Essencess you have to use. It's boring at first, bt then you really start to get used to it.

The games graphics really do show what the Wii can do. It has a nice smooth animation and character design, but as for polish... errr.... anyway voice acting is pretty terrible. Maybe it's because they speak gibberish or there all the voice with different pitch. Either way, its bad. Also, you can't get married, which i know this is a kids game, but it feels really lonely only to be "Best Friends."

In conclusion, MySims is a decent kids game that fans of the original Sims might enjoy. It's extremely easy and might be boring when you first pick up and play it. But when you play an roam through the game, you really will enjoy it. I give this game a 6.5 with a title of fun.
