Rednecks and roids.

User Rating: 5 | MX vs. ATV Untamed WII

Basically, this game overdosed on testosterone, and ended up having no personality. This is a very generic game with little in the way of fun-factor. It is very bland, in the sense of "Greg Hasting's Paintball" kind of bland. If the blandness does not bother you, then the music will.

The music is all heavy-metal/emo kind of music. At one point in my life, I was a fan of some of the bands. But the music does not fit the game, it just feels thrown in there and in-your-face kind of sloppy.

This game was made by the same company that made "Disney CARS, the game", so apparently this company doesn't compose music ever except for the menu music of their games. Their menu uses the exact same code as "Disney CARS, the game" and the physics engine is very similar. The physics engine does the job, and makes the game playable, but the physics won't knock your socks off. This game won't give you the same rush as actually riding a dirtbike in real-life.

The game could have been more playable if it's presentation wasn't so bland. The tracks are very bland on the eyes and the path is marked by buckets on each side of the road. Basically, it's an eyesore and you can't often tell where you are going. Add that with a lineup of about 12 song's you'd normally hear on the radio. And only 2 choices of vehicle...basic dirtbike and basic atv. On the back of the cover it shows a dirt buggy and monster-truck kind of rally car, but none of those are the game.

Also, there are no females in the game. A study of hormones showed that out of 10 males, the one with the highest testosterone had 2 times the normal amount of testosterone and was gay. This game has no feminine side and it is very bland. Basically, they released this game to make a few bucks from some teenage kids who were rednecks. The races drag on and on and you have to repeat a track twice before you can move on. It is all very lackluster. You could get a similar experience from just downloading one of those 3d games from Freearcade, and at least those tracks would have more personality.
