User Rating: 10 | MVP Baseball 2005 XBOX
MVP Baseball 2005 for the original Xbox is possible one of the best, actually, scratch that. It is the best Baseball game I have actually ever played. I fell so much in love with this game, that I neglected my 360, just to play this on my original Xbox.
The very few glitches are hardly noticeable, even if you look them up! The glitches include; automatic out if you run when someone with the ball is on you, homeruns go through people in the stands (doesn't matter), and if you go in replay mode, you may notice some errors in the fielding mechanics, but as far as glitches go, Black Ops is much more "glitchy".
Owners mode enables the player to actually immerse themselves in the world of being an owner of a professional Baseball team. You literally, start from the ground up. You must first chose the location of which you are going to place your ballfield, and then chose the name, which will be proudly (and obviously) lit on your scoreboard (if you even chose to have one, location depends on the type as well). Then, you chose the type of grass (ie. crossed, checkered, lined, icon [color, green, blue {ish}, etc.]), and then you may chose the type of wall you want (brick, ivy, plain).
After you have chosen the basics (many more have not been mentioned), you are enabled to take part in your own, and first MLB draft. You may hand pick players according to their skill, demanded pay, or you can go even more into it, by looking at their potential, motivation, and so on. But, what I did, was I picked the first 10, (9 starters, 1 good backup) and allowed the computer to randomly pick players that would do me the most good.
Many more options and other things have not been mentioned, such as the money making, the unlimited amount of seasons (I made it up to year 2067 before getting bored) you can play, and the very detailed character creator, but one thing that I can live by is, that you must buy this game.
