Fun game to play, but features bring it down

User Rating: 8.9 | MVP Baseball 2005 PS2
I bought MVP 2005 after playing MLB 2006, one of the worst games i've ever played. MVP was much better, but it lacked some key things. In the new Owner mode you cannot choose how many games you can play or the amount of innings in a single game. That drives me nuts because there is no way i can play 182 or however many games there are in a baseball season and play 9 full innings. Another thing that bugged me is the baserunning. While it took me a few games to really pick it up, I still have my gamely problems that usually cost me a run or two, which is not good seeing that i cannot score runs in the game. The last real noticeable flaw in my opinion was that the players are ranked through bars and not numbers. I complained about this in MLB 2006 so I figure I need to do it here as well. As far as gameplay goes, I LOVE it! The pitching is awesome and very easy to pick up. The batting is just as simple to grasp, except for reading the pitches (I suck at that cuz i dont usually watch baseball). One of my favorite pieces of the game, ironically enough is a new feature that they put in known as "mini-games". There's a tetris type pitching and a hitting derby type thing that are both an absolute blast to play and keep you very interested. -FRANKIE
