One of the best baseball games on the PS2. Period.

User Rating: 9.7 | MVP Baseball 2005 PS2
MVP Baseball will bring you into the action instantly, with many game modes to choose from, the most prominent being : Exhibition, owner, mini-games, dynasty, and MVP Online. The in-game controls are simple and easy to use. The hot and cold zones are useful when you need a K fast. The hitter's eye, will keep you from guessing all the time. There are many fielding controls to make use of. The one thing that dissapoints me is the fact that it's nearly impossible to pitch a perfect games, since towards the end your pithcer wears out and it's much easier to get a hit off him. However, that also makes the game more realistic. The player likenesses are well made, and more often than not I really feel that the player in front is Derek Jeter and not overused player model # 32. MVP 2005 features some nice music tracks, but they are nothing when compared to the enormous amount of tracks in games such as FIFA 2007 and Scarface: The World is Yours. Still, if you're a fan looking for a good baseball game, I would recommend this. It easily welcomes newcomers while challenging more seasoned players. In closing, MVP Baseball is a great game with few flaws.
