Let me start off by saying, your not going to get a better baseball game than mvp baseball this year, period. Gameplay, with few flaws, usually plays out very well, better than any other baseball game i have ever played. I see new catches, new hits, new everything, every game. It seems very realistic. I also liked how players can't run through eachother, they bounce off, which sometimes look a little unordinary but usually it works well. Tags are right on this year, if the umpire calls you out, you can see he made the right call. Batting and pitching seems ultrarealsitic but sometimes throwing in the field seems a little abnormal. Graphics is the only thing that all-star baseball beat last year in. The stadiums look a little better with the great crowd that was added, but are basically the same. And many of the players are huge! with small little heads. They look like aliens, its wierd because it was that exact opposite problem with triple play baseball. Now the sound is amazing in this game. The crowd works well with the noises they make, when you get a single they scream and stand up and clap, its almost like a highschool championship basketball game. Even different umpiers behind the plate say strike, and out differently. This game has great value and im very glad i bought this game. One of the most important things in this game is the AAA and AA teams you can play with. I created myself started off in AA, then i became the best player in the leauge, so i sent myself to the sky sox and im doing ok, trying to become the top prospect of the minors. This game all around is the best baseball game i have ever played, best sports game besides madden. I would definately consider buying this game if not at least renting it.
