This game doesn't really live up to it's predecessors high standard.
It's a fun and solid action rpg though, but nothing special.
I myself had high expectations on this game,
after playing on of my favourite games "Brave fencer Musashiden" on the PSX.
In that game u had to learn all of the different abillities from enemies to advance in the game,
In this game it isn't really necessary to learn all the different abillities,
because they are different types of "action sword moves" with the blade,
I learned a "360 degree swordmove" about 20 minutes into the game,
that worked great on almost every place the game through.
It would have been better to learn that ability, a couple of hours later in the game.
There is also 5 different magic abillities to learn with the sword,
and u have to use them to proceed in the game,
Musashi can also learn the classic double jump, and also climb certain walls later in the game.
There isn't any real challenge to complete the game really,
they should have had a hard option from the beginning, like in "Kingdom hearts".
The boss fights are well made, they are really big and have some cool moves.
The cel shaded graphics are top notch,
Hamauzus and Nakanos music are great, but sometimes really bad, they did a better job with Final fantasy X.
But the real square magic is missing,(I wonder if something went wrong in the collaboration with enix).
In any case I hope Musashi will do another comeback, more like his predecessor, that had a bigger impact on me.
